Leila Sobek is the visionary founder and driving force behind BMA Studio, an award-winning global design consultancy headquartered in Dubai with offices in London, Vienna, and Cairo. With more than 25 years of experience as an architect and engineer, Leila is celebrated for her unwavering commitment to bringing together design, engineering, and construction.

Leila’s hands-on leadership defines every project at BMA Studio. As a master orchestrator, she guides each development from concept to completion, placing her philosophy of “beauty in layers” at the heart of every project. Her approach values both visual appeal and the hidden structure that remain relevant for generations to come.

Leila holds a master’s degree in architectural design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA). Her education underpins a visionary yet pragmatic design philosophy that integrates form, function, and context, resulting in spaces that are both aesthetically compelling and technically sound.

Leila has led numerous high-profile projects for prestigious developers such as Emaar, Nakheel, and hospitality groups like Fairmont.
