About The

Summit

As urban populations grow, cities face increasing pressure to evolve sustainably. The Critical Infrastructure Summit gathers senior stakeholders to explore opportunities and challenges in public transportation, climate resilience, green spaces, and robust soft infrastructure. Focused on supporting the ambitious growth and diversification plans of key Middle Eastern cities, the summit highlights innovative solutions for creating sustainable, efficient, and resilient urban environments to meet current and future demands.

As more and more people migrate to cities in search of better opportunities and a better quality of life, cities are under immense pressure to evolve and answer the evolving needs of residents. Today cities must feature sustainable living spaces, state of the art transportation, smart city technologies, top notch public safety, enhanced resilience and much more in order to attract, retain and satisfy their residents.

Cities comprise hundreds of different hard and soft infrastructure elements, and as cities within the Middle East continue in their respective diversification journeys, their infrastructure must not only be able to meet current requirements but also be able to support future demands. The latter is particularly important as key Middle Eastern cities such as Dubai, Riyadh and Jeddah continue their ambitious diversification plans and growth trajectories, which will see their population bases grow significantly in the coming years.

The second edition of the Critical Infrastructure Summit will bring together senior stakeholders from government organisations, infrastructure owners and operators, consultants, contractors and suppliers to highlight and discuss opportunities and challenges relating to: public transportation systems, climate resiliency and green spaces. The conference will also highlight the growing demand for robust soft infrastructure services that enable, shape and support economic and social interactions.
